KIA in Sweden has said that Apple Carplay is to arrive to Niro as a free update before 31 March 2017. I suppose the same goes for Germany.......

Does the engine temperature decrease very fast when driving in EV mode under these conditions?
The other day I made a point of examining that, when I drove around 150 km in minus 12°C and what I found was this:
1. The engine temperature dipped as soon as EV stepped in and ´laum3006´s information about circa 50 degrees before the engine starts and the temperature rises again, seems correct.
2. I never felt that the ´Innenraum´ felt cooler at all - actually I don´t even think I would have noticed that the engine temperature went down, hadn´t I watched the display.
But - winter in the north of Sweden often gives us minus 20-25 °C (or more.....), so I still have to watch the car in these temperatures and will keep you posted when that occurs.
Luckily, up here practically everyone has an electrical engine warmer + a warmer for the Cockpit when the car is parked outside or in a cold garage, to make it easier to start with an agreeable temperature inside and to spare the engine. Thanks for letting me share my experiences with you about the Niro here in this way!
My wife and I always travel to Germany some weeks each summer, so our Niro will most certainly experience both your Autobahns and Bundestraßen from north to southMfG

Sorry to take part in the discussion in English - I read German quite well, but I don´t dare to write it - afraid of making too many mistakes..... mit der, den, das, die usw.....
I just want to add that my Niro (now driven 1300 km) is the fasted of all cars that I have owned (lots of MB and BMW) to reach working temperature and I have recently driven it in minus 8-15 degrees here in north Sweden and reached 80-90 degrees after about 2-3 km - fantastic!
I find the cabin climate warm and cosy, too. Quite an extraordinary car!
